Quick question regarding under the hood

Hi everyone,
I got a question about the yellow thing in the picture that I have attached. I few days after my first service (oil change), I've noticed a yellow, sticky substance on the strut location. On both the left and right struct. I believe they weren't there before I went in for service. Does anyone know if this is applied by the techs? If so, what's the purpose? It doesn't look like there is a leak from anywhere.

doesn't seem like it was intentionally put there. ur engine bay shoulda been clean. wipe it off or something.

I think it may be drool from the service technician from his day dreams about driving your G on the open road while he was performing your service.

But seriously... Try and clean it off. It doesnt look good in there and I am sure its not helping the paint inside the compartment any.
