Default Wax your rims!

Someone posted a week or so ago suggesting we do this.
Well....let me just say, it makes them look freakin great.

I was waxing my car this past Saturday, and threw a coat of the Meguiars Gold Class wax on the rims. When done, those pigs were sporting a blinding shine. Brake dust also seems to whipe off a bit easier. It's actually pretty easy and quick to do the rim waxing.

I suggest everyone at least try it once when you wax your car next.

It is a nice thing to do, cleaning is so much easier.

The only downside, is that I notice the dirt a lot more now with the rims being soo shiny beneath the layer of brake dust.

Yeah ... Crystal Guard works well on the wheels also. I'd say wax/crystal guard the wheels every 3 weeks or so

Some of the tire sprays do wonders on your wheels as well. I use the Meguiar's tire spray on my side walls and spray a generous amount on the wheels and wipe it off...and the dirt/grime come right off and the silicone water-proof sealants protect and keep them shiny for a long time.

Wouldn't that attract dust, tho?

Seems to have the opposite effect. Once you wipe it off, the wheels have a smooth surface and frictionless for any dirt to cling on too. Besides, I would not want to be using a tire spray that gets all sticky on the side walls.
