Default my G just got tinted! @ 35% - check it..

I was inititally sceptical about window film; not a big fan. I think that limo tint (5%) on cars looks "ghetto" brings the value of the car down. Then I saw a G35 (graphite) with a 35% tint, it really dressed up the car. Brings the exterior color out more. I just got my silver G tinted @ 35%. Tell me what you think.

nice-ne [thmsup]
It's already snowing where you live?
On the rear pics, what is the badge on the left side? Looks like a badge of your dealer...IMHO, dealer should cut that crap out...they're like dogs pissing on our cars trying to mark their terriories, trying to get every edge in trying to market themselves. You should at least get a fat discount or some kind of compensation for flashing their name around especially in the rear when you smoke some poor soul and they say, "wow, what car was that? they must have bought it at [dealership]!"

very nice....looks good

did you use that shady tinting place?

I would take that dealer thing off. Sewell here in Dallas does that. Grubbs does a licence plate frame...but you just tell them to take it off when you go back for your plates.

Hm, I didn't even get a license plate frame with my G. I guess they don't like me.

Looks good, matt_G35C!

the first set of pics are the day i picked up the car in Feb, hence the snow, the dealer badge, and dealer plate. the last 2 are present without those things and no snow in NJ.

Looks great!! AND it looks very legal.

I just got mine tinted with 15%. I wanted the protection from the heat of the sun (graphite interior) and privacy. My town is very anal retentive about tint.....most people with 5% all the way 'round get pulled over and the K9 unit is called in to sniff their vehicles. My SUV has 35% but I felt that was not dark enough for the G. When I get pulled over for 15%, I'll wish I did what you did, and that was get 35%. Maybe while they're letting the K9 unit sniff my car I'll snap a pic with my phone camera and post it.

i beleive in NJ tint is ILLEGAL on the fronts no matter what %. I live in Philly and work in PA, and the law here is 30% or more. So I got 35% and I am legal.

Matt, tint looks good.

Kal, don't sweat the license plate frame. The ones I got were such poor quality [thmsdn]that they went straight into the trash can. Reynold's Wrap around the edges would have looked better.

I just bought the same car - graphite and had mine tinted the same here in GA. It looks awesome but am having a hard time at night - lights in the rear look wavy and the window looks "greasy" - you having any of these problems?
