Chances are that if he got your plate...you would have already known about it and been in trouble by now.
I highly doubt that the local authorities are taking several days to organize a tactical SWAT team to storm your house and take you by force. That is....unless you are harboring little Elian Gonzalez's secret twin brother. []

That would be awesome.

Personally, I think what you did was immature - no, childish. You deliberately endangered the lives of many others - for no good reason whatsoever. I find nothing amusing or laudable in your actions - only lucky that you (apparently) escaped and didn't kill or injure anyone else in the process.
Running from the police in a residential area? Over a speeding beef? Totally selfish and reckless. You had better hope that police officer doesn't decide to run a search on your vehicle type - there probably aren't that many G35 coupes in your area in your color and he'll doubtless be able to find you should he so choose. Also, posting this nonsense in a public message board is just plain stupid and a good way to get tagged (assuming your story is legit).
I have to agree. In my book, "running from the cops" means taking the next exit and a few turns before they pull out. If they turn their lights on, give up. If you have to speed more to get away, give up. It's just a speeding ticket, not worth the risk.

I don't care how immature or stupid it was...I just wish I was there to watch it happen(and Safely situated a generous distance from your path of terror).
Haha. What can I say...Police chases make for good entertainment.
I'm amazed at how much news coverage police chases get. It's ridiculous. I can't watch the news anymore. It's a joke...especially when they follow a "chase" for hours on end. Give me a break. Is this what we've come to?
I have a quick funny story about fleeing from "the man!".....
A friend is a patrol officer for a local So. Cal city just outside of LA. Another friend is an accomplished motorcyle speedster who calls me one night with this story....
"I was ripping down the street late, 'bout midnight, when I see police cars lit-up ahead, officers outside writing a citation. They hear my exhaust, figure I'm clipping off about 80mph on the city street, so one of them decides he's gonna stop me by stepping into the road, flashing me with his Mag-lite and holding out his hand to STOP!" Needless to say it didn't work, my two-wheeled compatriot down-shifted, twisted his wrist and blew right by super-cop. His buddy ran to his patrol car, gave chase but no chance, MC wins this one.....
.....A few days later my police officer friend tells me that he almost got killed by a speeding MC.....yep, the cop in the road with his hand held up was my other friend..... [8D]
I ran away from the mall security once at Lenox Mall in Atlanta. LOL... I was in a Protegee 5 and was going to fast for the security guy's liking (guy that drives the truck with the yellow blinking light on top) late at night. I was staying at the JW Marriott there and after he turned around to chace me down...I turned off my lights and swung into the hotel vallet. He did not se me turn in there and he kept going. Not near as adventourous as the high speed police chace. Mine was more of slow speed deception with disappearing tailights and a quick cover up at the hotel. LOL.

quote:
This country needs to provide us with more access to controlled speeding situations.
There just aren't enough racetracks that are affordable to use where we can go out and vent our need for speed without doing it on the public roads.

I don't disagree, however in no way, shape or form does this rationalize or justify the insane behavior described in the first message of this thread. No one's life is worth our need to see just how hard we can push our cars, and certainly not when that person had no say in the matter.
Well seems like you got away from the bogey. Guess all that flight time has paid off []....or did it? With the lack of responses, maybe sandking is in custody?
On a side note....I think someone brought this up a while ago, but what is up with all these recent events, of crashes and now this...I am paying enough insurance as it is...so please people, stop attracting attention from the insurance companies and the cops.
I may be mistaken, but I thought the owner of the car was legally responsible for what happens with it. For example, Dad's repsonsible if his kid takes his car out. And you couldn't really claim the car was stolen if they find it in your garage.

The owner of a car may be legally responsible for what happens from it, but that only applies to civil lawsuits. In order to be charged with a traffic or criminal offense, they have to be able to prove who was driving the vehicle. I found this out after I was in a hit-and-run and didn't think to get a good look at the driver before he took off..license # was good enough for insurance but the police couldn't do squat with it. Then again, this may vary state-to-state but at least that is how it works in Washington.
