I can put Brembos, or any other big brake kit for that matter, on my sedan any time. Now, lets see you put 3 grown kids and their hockey bags in the coupe. Case closed.

Well this is guaranteed to stir up the little natives but here goes. When picking up my '04 6mt sedan, I took a '04 6mt coupe out for a spin. I came away with the impression (again) that I made the right choice (for ME, so save your flames) after all. Love the coupe looks and, while it didn't exactly feel like a slug compared to my (admittedly broken in) '03.5 6mt sedan, I could discern ZERO advantage in the get-up-and-go dept. The sedan also felt "lighter" thru most handling maneuvers, easier to "throw around", if you will. So, I walked away happy in the knowledge that I had the same performance and much better functionality for my family needs. Plus, reaching back for the driver's seat belt was a real PITA.
I felt the same as you in that the sedan felt lighter! If you look at most magazines and forum 1/4 times, the coupe comes out ahead by 0.2 seconds which is practically nothing. However, the slalom times have the coupe noticeably ahead (usually by 2mph) which is pretty significant.
I think the extra stiffness of the coupe suspension (with the lower center of gravity) does give the coupe better handling. Is that a worthwhile compromise to give up practicality, comfort (sedan handles bumps better), and lower insurance rates? It was for me but since the sedan sells better, I guess most people say no [^]
Uh, my 6mt sedan has the same suspension as the coupe with regard to spring rates and shock valve dampening. With my Hotchkis sways, I'll keep up or kick a stock coupe thru the twisties. [8D]

man coupe sedan it's just the same. only difference is the styling IMO. Yes the coupe is rated to have 20 more hp but that's not that much becuase if you look at the numbers the coupe isn't that much faster. I just love my coupe cuz I can play with it's stick and girls hollar at the car, I'd like to think it was me but it's always about the car, damn hoes.

True but the coupe has a lower center of gravity and shorter springs. Also, the 6mt and performance package come with 18s (I believe the sedan comes with 17s) which also increase grip. The staggered setup of the coupe also helps with the handling dynamics. Of course we are talking about stock because soon as we mod then everything is different []

I can very likely mod or tune my sedan to be the handling or performance equal of almost any coupe, but there is simply no way a coupe is gonna grow more back seat room or trunk space. Again, neither is "the best", only the right one for you. These are simply some of the reasons I made the choice I did.

Might be true because the loaner is being abused every day
i get the g35x sedan as a loaner all the time. i cant wait to get that sedan, its hella lot more fun than the coupe. not sure why, maybe its cause its not my car, whatever it is, that car is fun.
