Your driver records, age, relationship status, number of policies, amount of deductibles, coverage size probably play a big role in a bulk of your progressive price gouge.
agree...if you are married and can get a multi-car discount and have no claims.....makes a HUGE difference. Being single, with one car, and having a claim make it hard to get a good rate.
Also, insurace is VERY hight here in Texas compared to what it was in Missouri.
I have received quotes all the way up to $1500 for 6 months.
Wait till my “Hall of Shame” incident hits upon renewal in December. AHHHH.
Does anyone know for sure what states have the highest average insurance rates?
I know that California and Massachusetts are supposed to be pretty expensive..but I haven't seen factual information comparing states, just people's verbal complaints.
- Married
- Over 25
- Same insurance for 4 years
- 3 cars
- No incidents in 4 years (knock on wood)
- No claims in 4 years (knock on wood again)
- 6mo lump payment (For Progressive insurance, this is a pretty big discount).
