Default Lowered 1" and tinted

Just thought I would post two pictures of my 2004 DP G35. I lowered the car using the Eibach springs. I like the subtle drop because I did not compromise my ride. I noticed it was slightly stiffer, but not enough for my wife to notice. It was an easy install. I did it in about 3.5 hours, and took the car to the local alignment shop first thing in the morning following the installation. I have since installed the clear corners. Just waiting for JWT to release their twin turbo kit, so I can achieve my goal of 400+HP at the wheels. How can I post full size pictures of my car?? I had a hard time getting the pictures less than 100KB. (I am not a photosoftware guy)

Classy ride! I am looking forward to lowering my car about an inch but with coilovers. That subtle drop makes the car look more aggressive in its stance. Can't wait...

Your G looks nice!!!! Congrats for DIY on springs. Wow, are you getting TT from JWT? I recommand doing internal mod on your engine so that it can handle the high PSI with no problem. I am doing research on all the TT and SC out there to decide which one I should go for since G is fairly new on the market. I will wait for a while to see how much these FI systems can pull. Lowering my G is one of my mod list as well. You got yourself a nice G, Mike.

My tint is only 35%. I should have gone a little darker---25%. I do not know what type of tint the guy used on my car. I have attempted tint once before, and quickly learned that I do not have the patience for putting on tint. I think, if I had attempted it in doors on a non-windy day, my perspective on tinting a car might be different than it is now.

Thanks for the compliment. I am planning on "beefing up" the bottom end of the engine as well as boring out the cylinders approx. .5 mm. I will probably change out the cams and get a whole new valve train and modify the heads a bit to optimize performance. I plan on the turbos being the limiting factor for the amount of horsepower I will achieve.

How thick are the walls on the VQ35 Engine? I know that some people have encountered problems attempting to bore out engines on some other Nissan engines(KA24 for example) due to thin walls between the pistons. This is the first I've heard of anyone mentioning boring on this engine, which is why I bring it up.

Has anyone else tried this or heard of problems with doing that to our engine?

The initial rates are much softer both front and rear, and the [Eibach] G35c front final is way softer? There might be less roll at the limit due to a lower c.o.g., but I dunno about "stiffer". I think your wife is correct.

OEM spring rates for G35 coupe:
Front/Rear in lb/in. (Linear)
347/419

Eibach rates (inital / final progressive spring rates):
Eibach for G35c - 229/337 front, 274/463 rear
Eibach for 350z - 259/334 front, 359/413 rear
