Default What's the best launch technique?

I have never run a 1/4 mile but I am interested in any tips on technique for fastest launch off the line. What RPM for best hookup? Drop the clutch and pedal to the floor?...or roll on the power? I have not tried, but can you go total wheelspin?

I take it for granted VDC is off.

It will partially depend on your own preferences.

Personally, I prefer to get it up to 2500-3000 rpm, and let it out just slow enough to not cause wheel spin. This car has too much torque to drop the clutch in my opinion.

It depends on your tires. I can launch at 4K if I feather the gas.

Stock... slip the clutch at 3500 rpm.

because I have wider tires on than stock I can drop at any RPM and my nittos will stick. Im very happy with them. But yeah if you are running stock tires I remember around 3500 to cause little/no spin.
