Default Loud squealing/grinding...

So.. I purchased my G35 a few months ago and when temps have dropped there has been this loud squealing/grinding(sounds like metal) when I do a cold start up mostly when its below 40s. It starts immediately when I turn on the heater and does finally go away after the car warms up "might" come back for a small period of time. I took her to the dealer and while under warranty they checked all belts and they are new they tighten them a bit but that's it.

So I am not sure what It could be so I am wondering if anyone has experienced this. I can get a capture of the sound on my phone.

I have an 06 g35 coupe

The noise starts when you turn on the heater? Is the AC compressor also on at that time?

What happens when you turn off the heater?

Is the noise inside where the heater fan is or is it outside?

Why didn't the dealer try other things?

It continues. The noise starts to fade away after the car "warms up". The dealership noticed it stopped after they tighten the belts. I really haven't put my ear to the engine but its so loud you can hear it with the windows up and radio on. At this time the best way to replicate is on a cold morning/cold start.

It could be that the belts need more tightening.

I had the same squealing problem when I got my belts changed at a local shop. It would happen every time I started the car (05 G35 Coupe AT). I ended up looking at the service manual and using a belt tension gauge I bought off of amazon for about 10 bucks to measure the tension and tighten both belts to the proper tension. It resolved the problem.

it looks like the CarMax where they had the car put the wrong serpentine belt on and another belt that was replaced. So far the sounds have stopped.
