<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">You stated that there is irony in the fact that I had said the infiniti interior was not as nice as that of a mercedes. Your reasoning was because they are "made by the same company". I implied that because ford and jaguar are made by the same company, that doesnt mean their interiors are comparable. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

Most people are of the impression that various companies do a better job of building their interiors than others. The fact of the matter is that all major auto manufacturers use the same single supplier for their interiors, meaning the improved build quality has nothing to do with the skill of the end car manufacturer.

Jaguar and Ford share a parent company which is hardly the same thing as having the exact same people involved, making it a pretty poor analogy.

<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">THEN you argued with yourself as you said none of them make their own interiors so none of them are relevant. Your controdiction confused yourself. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

I did nothing of the sort. I was always speaking of the company that manufactures the interiors and not of their customers, the auto manufacturers.

I don't see any thing wrong with prefering the Accord over the G35. It's his personal opinion. Plus the G is not the ultimate driving machine. I believe for a long term use, the Accord will be a better car. I will still take a G over any Accord.

semi on.. Either you are avoiding the point or controdicted yourself again after saying I cannot read and understand, only to do a horrible job yourself. Your initial statement said It is ironic I say mercedes is steps ahead of infiniti as far as the interiors go. Then you answered yourself by saying they are all made by the same company so the companies themselves have little to no involvement. Therefore, there is no irony. The interiors are not the same, implying one cannot be ahead of the other because they are made by the same company is false. You said it yourself.

phi215,

You are missing the whole point of this thread, it was started by a troll to stir things up. We should just let this thread die.

How did I answer myself? I said it was ironic you'd say that one is profoundly ahead of the other BECAUSE the two interiors are manufactured by the same firm. Irony is a contridiction between what one expects and what actually is. Your statement that Mercedes is steps ahead of Infiniti in this regard implies Mercedes has made some breakthrough/effort in order to produce better interiors. The actuality is that they've done nothing of the sort as the same firm is reponsible for both.

Why we're arguing over semantics from an off color comment, I've no idea.

okay okay, save your verbal none sense for kindergarden kids tm. Accord is an accord, you would not see it compared in any magazine. Simply not in the same league. If you have the money for a G but choose accord, amen and I am sure you'd be on your future-last car when I am still rocking in my G.

I recently took a look at my housekeepers Honda Accord coupe and i realized that the features avaiable in her car were much more advanced than the G35's,

The Nagivation is voice activated, leather power seats, the power is adequate and the backseat space and luggage is enough to accomodate three of my obese friends.

There is a considerable price difference involved as well, which makes me ponder, for 40,500 OTD, did i really get what was worth of my money?

The below site has some interesting information on the Accord. Check out the message pages at the bottom.
