Default limited slip differential

how important is the limited slip differential and what EXACTLY does it do? i have a general idea but im not quite sure.

do most cars have this option? or is it only for high performance cars?

For some reason alot of the used G35 coupes I see do not have the sport package. Which doesn't really make sense to me. But they do, however, have the wing. So I guess looking sporty to some is more important than being sporty.

Yeah, but you still have 280 ponies in the non-sport which is A LOT of juice in a car this size... THAT is pretty sporty...
