Just returned from NY Auto Show

Sat in a 2004 G35 Coupe automatic. I noticed the dash center is a different finish. It was a darker gray with a slightly grainy surface. Don't know if this is unique to the auto or not but it seemed slightly more durable than the one in my 2003.

Saw the M45, HOLY CRAP! It's gorgeous and such an improvement over the previous M45.

Walked the whole show, the Audi LeMans was there. Gorgeous but a total mock up. Even the disk brakes were paper!

I saw the 2005 Mustang and it was not as impressive as the mag pix. They did have a full race Cobra RT that was pretty cool.

My old car was there as well...the ol' Acura CL. I could not figure out why it was there but it looked so out of place and old it was ridiculous. Honda has obviously put the desiging behind the Accord Coupe.

I agree that the new M45 is absolutely beautiful! I stood there slack jawed staring at it for what seemed like forever.

I missed the auto show, I was in the bahamas on vacation but my girl friend did go and she said the g35 looked really nice..

i went to the auto show last night. i was wondering the same thing, why are those old cars there. i saw an old lexus es300 and was like, what? someone told me that sometimes they bring out there old models, because it may have been there best seller, or highest award winner, or an anniversary or something like that. since its one of there best sellers, alot of people would recognize it and then look at the new models. i think its just stupid.

Sometimes they show the older models to push their "certified preowned" programs for people at the show who can't afford the newer models. I agree that they do look out of place.

BMW actually had a Certified 2001 Z3 on the floor. WTF but they had a hot biker chick in full leathers hawking the BMW motorcycles. []
