i would recommend stop eating beans, cabbage, and other gasy foods. you also might consider seeking help, because you are obviously in denial of farting in your own car.

My mother's car used to do that growing up. It was a common problem but I can't for the life of me remember what caused it. Take it to the dealer.

Well I think most people knew I would reply to this thread. If I were you kytran I would go to the tip of your exhaust and stick your face up really close and take a deep breath. Then remember this moment of ecstasy. Then go to your bathroom and sit on the toilet to see what smells best the exhaust or you. If you come to find that you smell best then take a couple of your own poops and throw them into the exhaust to even up the smells. Hmmm, you ponder at this, but do you have anyone that is holding a grudge against you because if I were I wouldnt hesitate to throw a couple of poops into your exhaust.[]
Anyways just had my turd coffee and gotta go poop![xx(]

hahah I knew it was just a matter of time before lj weighed in on this one.

I have had a slight "doo doo" smell slip in as the A/C kicks on and off when I am using the auto temp control, but it's no worse than in any other car I've ever owned, and seems to have cleared itself up.

It's not ususual to get some bacteria or mold growth in the air systems on most vehicles especially when using the A/C. I have seen it recommended that after driving around with the A/C on you should run the fans at max speed for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (with the A/C off) before shutting off the car to help dry up any moisture in the system that could let the bacteria or mold grow. Might help you, might not.

Mine smelled every day since i picked it up. Now 571 miles. The clutch is dead. I mistaken the smell for being new. Id say just go to the dealer and check it. Better safe than sorry.

That smell is the protective coating that is sprayed on the metal of the car before it is shipped overseas. It is applied to prevent rust from sea water while on the ship out at sea...... It smells like sulfur for awhile until it burns off. It took about a month or so for it to go away on my coupe.

I agree with the protective coating, but I got my car on December 23rd and sometimes the smell still returns with 3500 miles on it. I already have a scheduled appointment.

Good luck! Just trying to make you laugh at a little to relieve the 'going to the dealership tension'.

Are you sure it's not just the normal catalytic sulfer smell from the exhaust? If not, there may be something to this...<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">It's not ususual to get some bacteria or mold growth in the air systems on most vehicles especially when using the A/C. An extended spray of LYSOL into the HVAC intake vent in the passenger side footwell with the fan on HIGH did what several trips to the dealer could not. Cleared the stinky right up!
