Default HELP !! Slip, ABS, VDC OFF, lights on !!!

Hi guys i just replaces my lower control arm bushings, when i did the front left side everything was fine, but when i finished putting in the front right side on, all the lights came on. The slip, vdc off, and abs light came. I think it is a sensor or something like that in that area. My oil levels are fine, i know for a fact that the problem is somewhere in that area.

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? I AM TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM FAST. THANK YOU

I'm guessing the wheel speed sensor.

check it's alignment and make sure it's connected.

It's probably what you think it is, a disconnected or misaligned sensor.

mine did that ones (the VCD and the SLIP light) i talked to an Infiniti mechanic he said it will do that when its time for new brakes, so i changed pads and cut the roters and the lights never came back on....... knock on wood

You are right about the low pads.

It would have made things more simple to diagnose a low brake fluid issue

Thank you for all the quick replies guys. Friday i am going to get the sensors.

Gilley you said a misalligned sensor? I dont understand that. I thought a sensor just hooks up and that is it. Can you tell me how a sensor is misaligned? thx. My break pads are a little low. But i do not think the lights turned on because of that.

The lights turned on right after i put everything back together after installing the lower control arm bushing.

It's very common and happens often when the brake pads wear, which causes the brake fluid to get low. Just refill the fluid reservoir and/or replace the pads.

It doesn't seem likely that you misaligned a sensor chaning the lower control arm bushing but it's possible that you bumped something.

The wheel speed sensor aligns on a ring on the hub and that can cause those lights to come on if it gets misaligned or exceptionally dirty.

hm..That is pretty weird, i guess the first thing i will do is focus on that sensor and see if there is anything wrong with it. If i cant find anything, then i might as well get some new break pads and see if that does it. My discs look like there is good shape, i do not know if this can be a problem but i lightly sanded the disc with water sanding paper to clean it. Do you think this can be an issue?

I don't think sanding the rotors caused it.

Before replacing the pads, just add some brake fluid to the reservoir if it needs it.
