I just got my G35 recently and I ran it today. 14.2 was my best! I'm still getting used to it. Worst was 15.4, lol, i jumped from 2nd to 5th, haha, oh well...
Anyways, what are your times? [clapper] Really glad I bought a G35, but I want the new AWD one...

I have a 5AT and got 9.5 on 1/8th mile consistently and 9.7 with passenger and some slippage. Iv been told thats about a 14.4 maybe 14.3 on 1/4mile.
Nice run though, when I got the 9.5, the 2 other 6MTs where having problems launching. Your almost getting the peak of the car as I dont think its possible to get better than 14.1 with a stock 6MT coupe.
I was told to get the best launch on the 6MT coupe, rev at 4k and then dump the clutch. I have not tried this yet, because I am still in my break-in period (300 more miles to go!!).
Good luck...how about, anyone who breaks 14s with a stock coupe wins a FREE supercharger...how is that for motiviation.
I have an AT so it might be diffrent, but if I rev my engine to 4K then punch it the tires would spin like crazy. I tried 2K yesterday, and the tires spun quite a bit. After that I tried about 1.5k, and just got a little squeek. Some of my friends are going out to the 1/8th mile track tonight, but I don't think I'm going.

When I ws at the track the 6MTs were launching at 2k and eatting sh!t...its not all about the RPM, its about how you do it. I think 4k is way too high and 2k is about right but when you give it gas when releasing the clutch u may give it too much...its all trial and error but my guess is that the max RPM u can be at when releasing the clutch is about 3k, but again its all on "how" u do it.
Sorry it took me so long to reply, I had an operation...
Anyways, I launched at 3K RPM (I only ran 3 time's, 4K was too high, it slipped like an animal at first, but maybe I wasn't really used to it, I'll be going back next weekend)
I think I'm getting better at the gears though... It's my first 6MT car so I'm not used to it completely, I've always had automatic but then I realized what I was losing.

ok two questions.. 1. why is your sn red supra? and 2. what track did you get that time on? thats a great time
Cold air(like up in Canada) gives higher hp and better quarter mile times. Someone posted a chart recently on one of the other forums so people would convert their times to SAE. I believe standard conditions apply, and are similar to standard conditions in aviation, i.e., sea level, 59 degrees Farenheit, barometer at 29.92 inches.
Because I own a red Supra TT... lol? It's been my favorite car for like... Ever... And I always go by that name on forum boards. And what would the track I ran at do anything? :dunno: Anyways... I'm trading it in for an G35X since I got stuck in snow several times =( Cost be a good 1,000$ in total for towing purposes... =(
