That really sucks, man... Your dealers' gotta do something to make this right... like buy your car back and replace it with a new one for a better deal.

All i got to say is FUCK ALL CAR DEALERS!!!!!
They are just bounch of arrogant minded pricks! And when it comes to problem! most of them try to avoid the customers! I think you should sell the car, and get a BenZ i heard BENZ got a really good after service!
Benz? Don't think so. They're having quite a bit of customer dissatisfaction. In fact, the Chrysler (!) arm of Daimler-Chrysler has better IQA numbers than Mercedes in the most recent data.

Go Vols!
I was on my way to Wal-mart Friday - coupe was in 4th gear when it suddenly stalled! I lost all control as the steering and brakes were locked, everything just shut down. As a result, I hit a low median nearly straight on that was immediately in my path. The car started up once I stopped, applied the clutch and turned the ignition. But as a result of hitting the median, my coupe was knocked out of alignment and badly scratched on the left side front bumper.
Well, I already had an appointment Saturday with service because my CD player quit working Friday as well PRIOR to this incident (CD Error FO message - will not reject or accept CDs) and had them investigate everything. Their diagnostics could find nothing wrong. They were kind enough to do a realignment and will be painting the bumper once I take it in to get the CD player replaced. I am very disturbed this has happened. I had just read on another popular G35 BB last week and over the last 2 months on here, of SEVERAL cases where the Coupe has just stalled while driving along. What if I had been taking my son to school and my car stalled? I travel down a winding road every day to get him to school. I am worried and extremely ticked off that this has happened.
Wow guys & gals that is some very disappointing news to hear. It does seem like it is some sort of electrical problem. Sorry to hear that G35woman. Take it in and demand them find the problem and get it fixed. I can see how that would be very dangerous having the car shut off like that...
Holy fucking shit I never saw this post, but last week as i was turning the same thing happened to me but i went off the road and did about $4000 in damage. The funny thing was my power steering pump was replaced 2 hours before this happened and when i had it towed to infiniti they said there was nothing wrong and i was going to fast. But when i asked why my braked and power steering and VDC (i did not turn off myself) they said that they did not know. Now im stuck paying for the damages and FUCK infiniti.

Wow, I REALLY hope this isn't a common problem. Gbye40G's, and G35Woman, please keep us posted on this. The last thing I ever wanted to have to create was a "Problems with the G" forum. [bigeyes]

This seems to be quite a problem. On 4-14 the same thing happened to me but it did not stall but i lost power steering, brakes and VDC (and no i did not turn it off) but it was from a light and i took off my VDC did not work as i was making the right hand turn and my brakes failed as i gased it to recover because i had no brakes the power sttering locked as if the key were out and you turn the wheel and it locks and i went off the road $4000 in damages. I had it towed to infiniti and the said nothing was wrong and i took the turn too fast so they are not responsible. They failed to recognize that taking the turn too fast was not the issue the issue was that the brakes , VDC and power steering locked. If that did not happen i could have recovered the oversteer. Semi i made a complaint to infiniti at 1-800-662-6200 and i am going to the attorney general of NY maybe you guys should do the same and then infini wil acknowledge us.

I'm sorry to hear that other people are having troubles, but I have to admit to being a little relieved. You guys need to contact your dealer and let them know that there ARE other people across the country having the same problem. You can identify me by name, Josh Warner in Scottsdale, Arizona. Let them know we're all having the same problem. I'll do the same on my end. There is a record of my problem with Infiniti Consumer Affairs as well as Infiniti corporate. If you could email me (semi_on@arstechnica.com) your names and locations so that I can make sure my dipshits know of your problems, I'd appreciate it.
I hadn't thought of the wheel actually locking so I'll be taking it in tomorrow and telling them not to return it until its fixed.
this in deference to everyone who insists on putting a load of crap at the end of everything they say' - Dr Tom Dowling
This really sucks... Looks like Semi and Gbye40Gs both have 6mt. Is yours a 6mt as well, G35woman? Anyone have this problem with auto as well? If it's electrical, it doesn't seem like it should matter whether it's stick or auto.
Hope you guys can get some answers on this and get it resolved before someone gets hurt.
If you want something to happen, you need to involve the NHTSA(they're a dot.gov agency). It may take the FEds of this agency a while, but they'll open a case and since it's a safety hazard, they'll hop on it faster than an Explorer rollover. If you each go to your dealership, Infiniti consumer affairs and state agencies, there'll be no record that this is happening all over the country---thus, no uniform, concerted action.[]
Since we have at least 3 people here with the same problem it occurs to me that perhaps by sharing some information we MIGHT be able to pinpoint something that is common in all cases. I doubt we'd really get any real answers here, but one of the first rules of trouble-shooting is to try to repeat the conditions that caused the problem, so I'd suggest we try to do a little scientific research on our own. Perhaps you can answer the following questions to see if there are any common factors. I know some of the questions are already answered by some of you, but it might be good to see if the others had similar conditions:
1. What month was your car manufactured?
2. How fast were you driving?
3. What gear were you in?
4. Was VDC on or off?
5. Any idea what the RPMs were at?
6. Was the radio or CD player on or off?
7. Was the climate control on, and if so, was it set to Auto?
8. Does your car have Nav, and if so, what screen was it set on?
9. Does your car have auto headlights and were they on?
10. How many miles were on your vehicle when this happened?
11. Were you braking at the time?
12. Auto or 6mt?
13. Were you shifting at the time?
14. Were you giving it gas at the time?
15. Full tank of gas? Almost empty?
And if I'm missing any questions anyone else thinks might be relevant, go ahead and add them. I know this sounds like I'm grasping at straws, and that a lot of those conditions should have nothing to do with the engine, but at this point, I think any information would be good information that whoever needs to try to figure this out should have. If it is indeed an electrical problem, perhaps it's related to another system? If nothing, it can at least help them simulate the conditions.
Anyways, just a thought. I'm sure I'm not the only one who really wants to get an answer to this.
