Default CTS-v series vs the G35c

Folks, I am aware that the v-series is not in the g35c class. At the price cadillac is asking for 50k, I think for the the money, ours is a better buy. Is there anything we can do to get it up to horsepower in the neighborhood of the v-series, currently recorded at 400 hp. Wheeewwwww, you wont get a to admire it alot on the highway, unless you are in a 747 next to it. please advise.... and thanks again for your imputs and opinions.

The $10k difference put into mods will get you to that performance level.

I purchased my G35 w/ premium package for about $31000. The cost of a supercharger with installation and tuning is about $6000. I've spent additional funds on high flow cats, an aftermarket exhaust, etc. My car no longer has the sound or handling of a luxury car--but I'd take my chances against the CTS-V at a drag strip any day.

If you want luxury-performance w/o doing mods and your budget is $50K, there are a lot more choices than the CTS-V.

Twin turbos cost around 6k and can increase horsepower by 50%.

How safe is it to put all the superchargers and mods to supe it up. Something tells me you have to be cautious in driving....Zimbo, how does your car sound. The G35c sound pretty good (stock) when you let those borlas loose. I am guessing its deeper in sound but I dont want to get too loud.

The GReddy TT kit costs about $2000 more than the best price for the Vortech kit and installation is going to run at least $2500. The GReddy install is ridiculously difficult.

Superchargers have a whine at idle, but at wide open throttle they aren't really any louder than an unmodified car.

Zimbo,

I'm right there with you. I would take my chances against the CTS-v at this point.

BTW, what kind of SC do you have? ATI? Vortec?
