Driving into work this morning VDC and Slip lights on dash also VDC warning on GPS screen any ideas what it could be i have heard it could be brake pads
my car - 2003 G35 Coupe
There are a lot of things that can cause those lights to come on. Low brake fluid (caused by worn pads) is one of those things. It's helpful if the service engine soon light also comes on so there is a code to diagnose.

+1 for low brake fluid. It's happened to me on a couple of occasions, both times were due to pad wear causing the fluid level to drop. Added more fluid, lights went away.
My car is doing the same stuff except my RAS light is comin on too. I know my brakes are worn and have ordered new pads and rotors, but is this causing my RAS problem as well as the SLIP light cause both come on together everytime.
It could be many things, but the most common cause is the low brake fluid level like mentioned above.
It can also be caused by: YAW sensor, crank position sensor, etc. If you're not kicking a SES light though, you're probably gonna be just fine by adding some brake fluid.
My VDC and slip light came on also. The dealer replaced the steering angle sensor, the issue has been resolved. However, my rear brakes are down to 3mm and need replaced. Seems strange that they happen to be low when the steering angle sensor starts having issues.
Hi,
My VDC off light (I don't know what that is), slip light and service engine soon light all came on and stayed on while I have been driving the past few hours. Any ideas?
I just had my brakes completely re-done back in March, oil changed my car back in July.
Also, it stalled on me twice.
Any help would be great before I go and shell out $$$ to the man....
