Question ill be the test dummy! ebay turbos...

i have money. i can afford this, so i am going to be the test dummy for everyone.... yes, i know; eBay turbo kits, the are absolutely ridiculous. well, i just ordered one, and i will have it professionally installed and tuned, and we'll see what happens. the car already has 90,000 miles on it, and well, its a 5at so this will be a interesting experiment.

Let me know what you think!

It's going to cost more for the installation and tune that the kit cost, so let's hope it lasts and the installer doesn't have to custom fabricate any parts.

Would love to get an update on this experiment. Or should I wait for the KCAL News Copter to show the results?

because we all know a VK56 into a G is an easy do-it-yourself swap. Ya, it's been done....but by a professional shop!

*shakes his head at this thread*

Bro, why not just take it to a profesional shop and do it the right way the first time. Or maybe you are just a millionaire that has money to flush down the toilet.

haha, no i wish i was a millionaire. i bought this car after my last deployment to iraq, and im getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan in a couple months... ill come back with about 20 thousand, and its all going to a new G. maybe a g37. but i want to see how shitty these turbos really are. i have heard good things, like they are surprisingly not bad, and i have heard bad things, so im going to find out first hand, and let everyone know. if it does blow, then ill do the swap. or ill wait until i get back from overseas, get a 6mt, then swap. i dont like the 5at anyways, i got it cause i was tired or looking for a 6mt.
