Default Super White - H.I.D. & Clearance light match~

The H.I.D. head light is not too white as I would like it to be.
What is the spec. on it? 3000k? 4300k?
I wished that they were higher in k temp.
Its not as white-ish blue as I would like it to be.
May be over time, it will become softer white~

I placed several different type of super white wedge type 168 bulb on the Clearance light which is located next to the H.I.D. (long arc light) but I wasn't successful in finding a good match.

All the bulbs I tried was from PIAA:
Xtreme white bulb - Part no. 19172
Super White bulb - Part no. 19168

Did anyone have better success than me?
May be Polarg (BlHybrid) bulbs will be better match with HID? If so which one?

thanks

if you want to find whiter bulbs look for color temp as close to 5400k, that is the colour of midday sunlight and is considered the most white.

I think you need to take the spaces out of your image file names. They don't work in your other thread either.

As you can see from the pic, the clear strip and side marker lights don't match 100%... I want to get it so that it matches 100% and also goes well with our H.I.D. headlight.

In regards to the fog light, just get PiAA H4 either high wattage or low wattage, that'll work.

BTW, I also X-treme white-ish blue on my rear license plate lights. This is a MUST have, looks so so cool. I will try to take a pic of it tonight.

Those license plate lights do light tight as hell...I like the corner and strip lights u got in there too...seem to match with the HIDs just fine...what do u have in there? and did u just use the recommended wattage of 3.8W for corners & 5W for clearance(strip)?

I saw in another post someone recommended PIAA Xtreme Hyper White (Part# PIA-15260) i think im gonna try those and u didnt mention it as one u tryed so maybe that will match better for you. I'll let you know though

Both bulbs I believe should be 5W.
No, I didn't try Xterme Hyper White but that will also look good on clearance light, I have used it before. The light is not soft white but more intense and focused.
I just used left over bulbs I had, I'm in the process of getting more bulbs so that I can at least match the clearance light but side marker lights.

What ever you do, I think it will be good to go with same type of bulbs on both.

Post pics after you are done.

If I understadn you correctly you are trying to match the color temperature of the clearance lights to the HID's. If that is the case your best bet would be to talk to the guys who own this site... www.clearcorners.com

The products there are all LED based and are much better matched to the color temp of HID's due to the ability of LED's to produce that intensity light, whereas regular halogen bulbs must used a combination of gases to achieve these color temps.
