Default Weak coating on 18" rims?

Has anyone else experienced easy scratching on the 18" rims? B/c my tire has no signs of any rubbing but there is a small scratch on the rim. It looks as if a rock kicked up, but it is definitely not a crub mark. Does anyone know of any quick fixes for this unsightly blemish?[dunno]

I have heard the same thing about them. I have never used mine so I wouldn't know. Maybe polish them and wax them. They didn't seem to have much of a finish on them in the first place. They sure look good in my garage.

Would you like to sell yours? If so how much?
Because I would like to get them chromed but I can't do without rims for 2 weeks. Please email me at Lowchevy14@AOL.com if interested.[cheers]

I would love to....but

I'm guessing my Racing Harts will be stolen someday. Its just a matter of time. I do live in a nice area but when I take it Seattle or something, who knows. And I won't have another 4k to throw at rims either.

But, now that I think about it, I might be able to get another set from by buddy at Infiniti. I will call him up and see how cheap they would be. They are getting 600 on trading the stock rims in so I will tell him he can't sell them for much higher. Would you be interested if I could get you a new set from them at 800 bucks or so. Shipping of course but I could hook you up on that because my company has a great shipper and I can hide some of that cost for you as well. Let me know if you want me to look into this....

Yeah let me know the price and I can get someone to pick them up. I actually work for a shipping company so I would pay next to nothing. Please don't forget to ask him how much the 18" would cost, I don't need the tires just the rims, and I would have you send them directly to CalChrome for me. This would be absolutely perfect if it works. [bowdown][boink][bowdown]

How much would it be just for individual single rim?
I also would like to prepare ahead, since there are tons of pot holes here in NJ, I'm bound to dent or crack mine in the near future.

Let me know, thanks~

I have the same problem. I just had two of my rims on the right hand side discolor very easily. I took it to the dealer and they [alien]said that some one scratch it and was not covered by warranty. I am in the process of writing a nice letter to Infinity Customer Service. Here in PR this cars cost a lot of money due to taxes.

[werd] i had the same thing happen to me. a scratched front left rim. no marks on the rubber, only the rim. i need some touch-up paint or something. probably going to just buy one rim and use the scratched one as my spare.
