You might find an unscupulous dealer that would tell you that a Z tube will void the warranty, but there is no reason that it should.

It could only void the waranty if it caused something to fail. If something unrelated fails it cannot be affected. You could run NOS in you car, if you head unit on your stereo fails it would still be under waranty since the failure was not caused by the NOS.

The dealer would have to prove that mod you did directly affected the issue at hand to void the warranty. A similar issue went to court. I'll dig up the info later and post it up.

Will never void your warranty, the Z-tube is the exact same as the one in the G35 minus the resonator!!
Factory Nissan part!!

If installed correctly it should not affect waranty. It is a Nissan part.

The K&N will also not void you, my dealer installed mine for me at no charge during a normal service appointment, they actually said "most people are too cheap to buy good filters" refering to the K&N as a good filter to use.

Earlier I was talking to my mother about what dipstix said about the warranty act because she'll always worried about my modifying of cars, how mother like. My grandpa overheard, comes in and tried to explain to me how even lifting the hood voids every and any warranty on the car..haha. We sat there arguing about it for a good half an hour. I have the ideal that stock sucks and any mod is better than none. They are saying the car is fine the way it is...she is an amazing machine, but a stock machine none the less.
