auxilliary power outlet help- please...

I picked up my 05 Laser Red 6MT a few months ago. The car is amazingly stable at high speed. One problem I didn't notice til after the deal was that the aux. power outlet in the armrest does not work. Before I go tearing stuff apart to figure out why- has anyone else experience this and found the solution?

PS- for anyone driven nuts by the annoying center console squeak- my armrest used to squeak every time I shifted- just like I saw in a few old posts. Gluing a couple rubber bumpers onto the place where the armrest sits on the console stops this annoying squeak.

Have you checked the fuse? Also, isn't the car still under warranty?

+1 on the fuse, or you might have an electrical short!!

check the fuses and if nothing, then take it to the dealer to have it fixed under warranty.

fuses are fine- but thanks for reminding me that this would be a warranty thing. Now I can let them take it apart & deal with it!
