I was considering changing my own air filter in my 2005 G35 C. I had two questions.
1) This is my first car, and I never had the option of auto shop in high school. How do I change the filter? Do you just have to unscrew some screws, pop the old filter out and the new one in? Is there a good DIY somewhere?
2) Warranty.... do I have to have this done by someone with receipts etc. for it to not void my warranty? Or would a receipt for buying a new filter be enough?
Changing the air filter is about the easiest job there is to do. Your warranty will be fine, just save the receipt for the filter and maybe jot down the mileage when you changed it.
If you want a tutorial, just google "g35 air filter DIY", you'll get dozens of them.
