The width of the tires depend on the width of your rims, but you should use 35 series tires, not 30s.

Everyone above has been telling you the right info. Your insurance company contacted the dealership to get prices. They will cut YOU a check based on that price. It's up to you to do what you want. You don't even have to buy any wheels.

Cancel the order with the dealer and take your car home. Tow it if you have to. Order your own rims, have the tires mounted and everything put on your car. Never deal with that dealer again. If they won't give you the car, call the cops. Tell them you didn't authorize any parts and they can kiss your ass.

How wide are the rims? 275/30/19 is not ok in the rear. The tire is shorter than OEM and may be shorter than the front. You would need a 275/35/19 in the rear. A 285/30/19 may be more appropriate.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

A 9.5 inch wide rear wheel isn't very wide, so a 275/35/19 will work fine and you shouldn't have any rubbing unless the offsets are really aggressive, like around +10 to +15.

the guy says if I lower the car 1 inch then the rear should be 275/30/19 instead of 275/35/19,
how about 285/30/20??

Lowering the car will have no effect on tire size except for clearance issues.
You need to try and maintain the same overall diameter from stock to other tire sizes to keep from boogering up speed sensors and what not.
Most tire manufacturers will have this info on their sites, i know tirerack links to it.

Speaking of, where's Fred on this one? He works there. try PMing him...fred@tirerack

I don't care what the guy says. He is wrong and I am worried for you in your dealing with him.

Even if you lower the car, you should still use a 275/35/19.

285/30/20 won't fit on your 19's.
