i had no idea they'd replace stuff like a torn jacket. that's crazy. what if you bled on your shirt, would they replace that too?
i believe that they would if you put the claim in for it.
At this point my claim is up over 22k so they are not going to fight over a few hundred in personal property that was damaged in the wreck...they are even willing to give me a little under $900 for my new tires that I don't have a reciept for. I just faxed them a printout of what they cost on tirerack.com
I just got off of the phone with the insurance adjuster. The car has been declared a total loss. She has a value of 18k without adding any options (heated seats, bose, nav, low miles, etc). She is going to add everything up including the new tires, CDs, and ipod adapter and let me know what the value is sometime today...

What's the latest?
The latest is that I am looking for a car and i can't find one that I like or can afford. Nothing jumps out at me. The Gs in my area are all beat to crap or expensive, I haven't found a 350z in the right color, and if I do find a car I like it is always an automatic for some reason. Add to the fact that I am interviewing with 6 companies right now makes me a big stress case!
