I just got off of the phone with the insurance adjuster. The car has been declared a total loss. She has a value of 18k without adding any options (heated seats, bose, nav, low miles, etc). She is going to add everything up including the new tires, CDs, and ipod adapter and let me know what the value is sometime today...

it is bittersweet. I really miss my G alot now that it is gone. I am glad it is not going to be repaired and given back to me because it will never be the same but it is sad to see such a beautiful car destroyed like that..

That sounds pretty good to me....is it around what you thought??? Is it near what would you have sold that car for if you had to?

she came back with a bigger figure after the adjustments. It is around what I could have gotten if I sold it outright. She is going to add in the cost of the new tires I had and I will be pretty happy with the total.
Now I have to deal with someone else about the personal property that was damaged in the wreck-broken escort radar detector, broken sunglasses, ripped Nort Face jacket, CDs stuck in the stereo, etc. They need reciepts and I don't have any...

As much as all that little stuff sucks , it still sounds like your still coming away pretty well, all things considered. I still wouldn't wanna trade places with you though. Hopefully, it will all settle up quickly for you though.
It's good that it was totaled. Now you can buy a new used one.
See if you can provide the actual broken personal property so a reasonable replacement cost can be determined. It isn't reasonable to keep receipts for everything.
