well, im not sure if your clutch is a disc plate or a pucked plate.....usually the pucked plates engage more "snappy" and because of this, unless you rev higher learn to release the clutch of that type, the car usually chatters alot. Thats been my expirience between the 2 and from what your describing, i would guess you got either a 4 puck or 6 puck clutch....
the sound your hearing may be a throwout bearing. I'm pretty sure that the g coupes (manual tranny) have a tendency to chatter while releasing the clutch. Mine did the same thing, i thought it was the tob (throw out bearing) so i just went ahead and threw a new oem clutch kit in (along with new TOB)
it didnt fix the problem....there was still a small chatter there that most people wouldnt really notice, but im guessing that your prolly like me and most people on here, and you notice any odd noise that your car makes. It prolly did it before just not as bad for you to notice. I think it has something to do with a spring, but dont quote me. give it a search......
my transmission has developed a terrible whine and it only has 5000 miles on it (its a new tranny) im stilll trying to figure out what it is.....good luck with your problem. i hope i have been of some help!!
