Default More Growl???

So, when the car is cold and iu start driving, it has a very nice mean loud growl to it, like a mustang or something. why is it when the car heats up the growl dissapears. is it possible to make the car growl like that all the time? I have a popcharger and a Z tube.
Thanks.

exhaust will make it growl all the time... my HKS has an awsome growl, similar to the stock exhaust, but louder and all the time.

but, with any setup, the colder the engine is the louder it will be...

When your car first starts up it idles around 1200 RPM. As the car warms up it idles lower which is normal.

Get the "Best of" CD of those guys who sang "Eye of the Tiger" and let it blast when you feel that your car isn't growling enough. Hopefully that'll fix that.

^^^Not really, but the MREV does. Want a growl and decent gains? Replace your lower plenum+spacer, get an exhaust, plus test pipes or high flow cats. Your car will sound completely different.

High flow cats and the stock exhaust might be your ticket.

So, Mrev and Plenium Spacers?
I dont want an exhaust. I haven't heard any that i like the sound of. So the last thing I want to change is the exhaust.
What is MREV though and does it really cgive more growl?

So from what understand, the 1/2" spacer gives more growl, and i assume that the Mrev also gives that. But my engine cover wont fit if i put the 1/2 " spacer?

Go with the 5/16th spacer. It will give you more usable increases lower in the RMP band. The 1/2 spacer will give you a few more peak hp, but it's at the top of the RPM band that you will rarely use.

The MREV is really beneficial for 05-07 6MT Rev-up motors.

I am actually looking for more sound oppose to more hp. And on the website that i was given here, the more growl was only mentioned for the 1/2" spacer. do you know if the sound gain is the same for 5/16 and 1/2 or different?

^^^Semantics. grrrs are the same, but I don't think the spacer will give you that much of a deeper sound. the complete lower plenum will (e.g. MREV). want more noise, get a true dual exhaust. an exhaust is minimal in HP, but a lot more in noise.

Yeah i know that, but really dont like any exhaust out there. I love the more stock sound.

stock is weak. i used to enjoy it a long time ago, but when the Z, the Q, and every other G out there sounds like you, it's nice having your own distinctive throaty sound.

depends on the year of his car. the mrev won't really do anything on a non revup motor.

I got 06 mt ))) But thats the thing, Putting just the PopCharger made it sound different and sort of unique. I am quessing spacer and MREV will help out even more For some reason it seems as though if you got a v6 and you put exhausts, you sound like a civic "metophorically speaking"
