I have an 06 6mt with 17k miles, and i currently have the OEM 19's and I am getting new tires tomorrow. What do you all suggest?
I live in NC and want tires that have a lot of performance but also its a daily driver...
(sizes also)
thanks..
UPDATE:
Got the bf goodrich g force kdw's... They look awsome and feel amazing while driving... Definitley a huge different from the OEM bridgestone 245's. a bit pricy, paid nearly 1300 with replacement plan and tire sensor rebuild kits, etc.. but they look and feel awsome.. sizes are 275-35-19 and 245-35-19

Reason: UPDATE
I have an 03 with the 18's, 6mt. They are 245/45/18 in the rear and 225/45/18 in the front. They were an improvement from the nittos that I had on before. They are rated for good wet and dry traction. Tread wear has been ok considering I do a bit of spirited driving.

I ordered the Kumho Ecsta SPT 245/40-19 rear tires today. My OEM Bridgestone RE050A rear tires are bald after 16K miles. My front tires should last a bit longer.
The Michelin PS2 are supposed to be better handling tires, but they are twice the price and may not last as many miles as the Kumho. The PS2 are just too expensive for me. But if money is not an issue, then the PS2 are rated highly.
I also looked at the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, but they have been on backorder for 245/40-19 (rear). The problem with the Dunlops is that they don't sell the 225/40-19 for the front, so we would need to go with 245/35-19 in front and those have a wider tread. I decided not to risk the handling of mixing widths, so I went with the Kumhos.
We don't have alot of choices in 19". Our rear wheels are only 8.5" wide, so we can't go with a much wider tire in the rear.

The stock Michelins PS2's lasted 28K on my 03 and they were noisy when gone. I replaced them with Yokohama AVS ES100 and am quite pleased. They were about $150 per tire from Tire Rack. Very quiet and grippy.

I went ahead and ordered the bf goodrich ones, and went with the wider setup. It was a bit pricy, but the guy said they would be the best tire for what I wanted. I went with the wider setup... i think 275 - 35 -19 in the rear, maybe a little different, but he said they were about .6 in wider. What do you guys think about this? they were about 280 /per

not sure about spooning a 275 on a stock 19......I'm running 298 KDW's on the rear but I have 10.5 rims...... as far as the tire....very good performance...once they are overworked they go off pretty quick...not predictable at all...if you're not tracking them its not an issue

This seems weird. I'm not the source for all things tires, but this is away from the recommended range. Any opinions from other forum posters?
What exactly is it that you wanted from the .6 difference? They're not that much more expensive, but what is the motivation for the wide 275 over the factory 245's?
It might be cool, I have no idea.
