Got mine new. They unwrapped the plastic off the car the night I took possession. Best consumer product I ever bought. Exceeded my expectations and I got more features for the money compared to a 325 or A4 or TT or Acura.
Yes I bought mine new. I didn't have any issues with squeaks and rattles though I do have the left side speakers cut out on my with CDs (not with radio) and I have the fuel gauge not reading right from time to time.
As far as tire replacement and maintenance, you should research those types of things before you buy a car. If you want longer tire life, buy a lower performance all season/touring tire, just don't expect the same type of performance.

I had not bought used in many years. Last car I bought used had been a corvette. After that I must have bought 3 new cars.
Time and time again all the consumer dudes are screaming to let the first guy take the depreciation hit of 30 percent in the first couple years.
I was leery but the bumper to bumper warranty put me at ease. What ever is wrong will be taken care of I thought before the purchase. So far that is true. No issues with the car now.... and a couple of minor ones were dealt with at the dealership a few months back.
Every-time I look at the price sticker in the glove box of over 35K, I know I made the right choice buying a car in great shape and well cared for by my previous owner.

They had 3 5AT's sitting there for less than my 6mt. I think all 05's and 06's?
sounds like a nice catch you made there!

Sounds like you had a much better experience with them than I did when I was getting my G. The sales flunkie I talked to over the phone straight up lied on the price and financing offered by Infiniti Financial. When I pointed that out he tried to blame it on me.
I picked mine up new March '05 from Jackie Cooper in Tulsa, OK. Only problem I ever had with it was the alignment being out of spec from the factory causing the front tires to wear to uselessness by 7500 miles. Replaced under warranty without any fuss.
Bought my '06 used, three weeks ago from a dealer for 27k with 17k miles. Fully loaded, w/o nav. Men don't need nav. While shopping around many private sellers talked how the g37 killed their value. Bad for them, great for a buyer that has wanted one since first sight. The G35 is still listed as one of the top non-depreciating autos. Car is in great condition considerating the miles. Few small rock chips, and scratch inside from the female previous owner. Driver seat squeaks, which me and my budy Mr. Lithium Grease are going to conquer this weekend. Small irregular noise from the door also.

Bought my '06 brand new 4 miles on the ODO... f*ck depreciation, i bought my car to drive not to sell... could care less, enjoying my time w/ her... currently @ 19k... don't give a sh*t!!
+1... also, with a performance car I was worried about how the previous owner would have driven it... I didn't want to inherit a worn clutch (that may/may not have been warranty replaceable), and more importantly, an abused engine.
I was willing to pay "new" to know I was getting unworn rings, seals, pistons...
to also, ahem, keep the FI option open...

New. 2004 6MT Fully Loaded, all options. Prem Pack, Aero Pack, Nav, XM - original total MSRP was $38,195. In 2004, that's all you could add other than Winter Mats and accessories. Jan 2004, leased for 39 months then bought out my own lease. Normally a very foolish thing to do, but not when you can write off most of the cost, being self-employed. Now that I own it, all I can deduct is mileage, but that's still a sizeable chunk of change, like getting a %30% plus discount - most people commuting back and forth to work deduct nothing to do with the gas, car, expenses, it adds. Otherwise, no, I'd not spend my own post-tax money on a $40k car. I have a 1991 SE-R I bought used from SCC for $5k, an Altima '95 bought new but paid for with my car allowance by my employer at the time, and a Dodge Truck, also bought new but paid $26k on $33.4k MSRP. When I stopped to look at G37's in the showroom, there wasn't anything in a G37 Sport 6MT for less than $42k MSRP. The high water mark has gone up a good bit the last 4 years, along with the weight.
Sorry to hear about your problems, mine has been "Ok" with the usual recall gas tank issue that affected most Infiniti/Nissan vehicles, but there were some wear items that went faster than I expect - clutch, 30k miles, first set of brakes (new front rotors, turned rears) - also ~30k miles. Don't ever have a dealer do your brake work if you have Brembos - they wanted $500 per rotor, and with the clutch, they wanted to put in a NEW FW, for $1100, I said no thanks, had the work done elsewhere - JWT Clutch/FW for $800, and Brembos can be had for $750-800 for a set of four rotors.
It's been a somewhat expensive car to maintain. I added it up and if I let the dealer do all the work they proposed, I'd have spent nearly $5k in 40k miles - that's absurd. Tires cost plenty, too - I can buy 4 Kuhmo MX's for my SE-R for the price of one Michie PS2 rear tire. I'm outside the warranty period now on time, so I'm a little jaded on costs to date, been higher than I'd expect, a lot more than anything else I've owned, but possibly comparable to other cars in its class.
Still, just picked up 4x <21 lbs/wheel, 19x8.5" F, 19x9" R NISMO Rays for the G, so I must still like it a lot...at least until I order my tires.

Agreed! I bought mine new with 8 miles on the odometer. My one year anniversary in coming up on the 3rd of April. Sitting at 14,989 miles with a scheduled 15,000 mile service check taking place next week. 2007 6MT Coupe with premium package and sport tuned suspension. Bought the car without the aero package, but opted to have the dealership put on the former rear deck spoiler. I also did not choose nav since I bought the car for my driving pleasure. Non commuter car with the sole purpose of putting a smile on my face. If I am worried about where I may or may not be heading, then I cannot be enjoying the drive.
First brand new car. 2007 6mt sport package. 55 miles, extended warranty 34,000 all together with taxes. not bad I guess. 6500 miles now with no problems yet but some dumb kid hit a softball over the fence and put a small dent in the trunk. Dentpro popped it perfectly lucky for the kid. love this car.
