i just replaced all 4 pads/rotors at a total cost of $650.00.
i got the parts from everythingg35.com and had them installed at a local shop here. i have heard it's super easy to do on your own if you want to save even more.
I just got the front pads/rotors done because they said they were 95% worn. I got the rear ones done earlier this year under warranty. I know its somewhat expensive because its the dealer, but is this an average price for an Infiniti dealer?
everythingg35.com can get you the same ones cheaper or get the knock offs for ~$69 each. and they are affiliated with Infiniti of Scottsdale because that's what the return address on the shipping label is...
I just had my front brakes done for $230. They didn't replace rotors, but they did use Infiniti parts. I use a local shop for stuff like this, it tends to cost less, and I trust them more.
I just got a quote for front pads and rotors installed for 1599.99. IS THAT NORMAL? I see people paying around $630. Anyone paying that much in the Washington DC/MD area?

it doesnt really matter where you are at. price might be different but NOT THAT MUCH. just buy the parts and take it to the reputable local shop and pay the labor. that's what i did on my 4 brembo pads & rotors =D

That's a complete ripoff. I got pads and rotors for my Brembos for $400 shipped. It takes about 20 minutes a wheel or less to change them.

Was this from a dealership? Was it in writing? If so, are you sure you read the quote correctly? I can't imagine any dealer would be so stupid to put such an obvious gouging down on paper; if they did, send it to Infiniti's corporate customer service...they might just get you a free brake job just to keep the good will and retain you as a future customer...you'd probably have to play up the outrage and indignity part somewhat.
Hey Gilley, can you send me a link where you bought the items? I just called 4 Infiniti dealerships in my area, wow, they are all telling me different things. One told me i can resurface the rotors atleast twice. Another one told me, i have to replace the rotors with the pads. Dealership in Tyson told me its going to be $1900 to replace the rotors and pads.
Any link or model for the brakes(pads/rotors) is much appreciated.
Thanks...
The OEM rotors can be turned if there is enough metal so they aren't below the minimum thickness. I turned all of my sedan rotors and the Brembo rotors from my coupe.
It isn't necessary to turn the rotors when changing to new pads, but al ot of times it is recommended. It depends on the condition of the rotors.
