Default Man I wish...

I was able to afford a G35 coupe. I've been poking around the site now for about a week and I just reminded myself why I fell in love with this car the first time I saw it. The thing that sucks for me, is that Im 16. I do have a job, but nothing that would provide me with enough cash to afford the car payment and insurance.

Ohh well I guess.

It would be nice to have a black obsidian 6mt sitting in the driveway though haha.

I just love every aspect of the car. I love the interior, and I love the lines of the car. I love the fact of luxury and performance all in one resonably priced package.

Dreams

Damon, you're young man, you have plenty of time in life to blow large amounts of money on cars. I wanted a Vette since I was your age and finally got one when I was 29.

This is not a great car for a teen unless you have oodles of cash to spend on maintenance for this car. This car will suck cash from you in gasoline, scheduled service, tires, brakes and probably insurance.

On the other hand if your folks are rich and free with money...........

Damon Duckworth wow that sounds like a great alias!

i think the g35 is just one of those cars. i have liked them since they came out and always wanted one deep down inside. when i was shopping for cars this last time i was looking for a mid-sized sedan (looking at E500's and 300C's mostly) and then found mine... decided it was now or never so i got it.

You know, you have to want one and not be able afford one (of whatever, in my case it was love at first sight for the 91 eagle talon tsi) in order to eventually get one and appreciate it.

At 16 you need to be driving something disposable, something you don't have to worry about. Something your friends can puke in. Build your driving skillset driving junk, I speak of the skills required to stay alive on the road, and avoid idiots hitting you. And if they do hit you let them destroy a junker. I am not putting down your driving skill, but you are young and inexperienced and I want you to survive to drive what you want eventually.

Thanks guys. I know I have plenty of time, my impatience just always gets the better of me. I've been in love with cars my entire life and the only magazine I would ever look at when I was young was Dupont Registry. Right now I drive a 2000 Grand Prix GT and its deffinatly a nice car for my age.

I can just hope things work out for me in the future as Im sure they will and Ill be able to afford the things that I truely want. As long as I keep my priorities straight.

Haha, and Im glad you guys like my name. Im glad to be here.

Yea, I plan on going to med school after my 4 year. I'm pretty sure its what I want to do, but Im still having some doubts on the amount of time its going to take just to start making money. In the big scale of things, I would really like to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist. In total Im looking at at least 13 years of post high school study.

I still have some time to decide, but its coming down to it here in the next year.

you have to truly be devoted and love your profession in order to go into medicine. either that, or half crazy.

either way, don't worry, you'll get yours one day. just make sure to do your best in school, and everything else will fall into place.

SCHOOL++++

All the above are right about SCHOOL. They speak from the experience of getting a good education. My comment is from the experience of not getting an education. There is a limit to the jobs you will be allowed to do without an education. Eventually you will run into something that you want to do but is off limits if you don't have an education.

Fly striaght, keep your nose clean and apply yourself in whatever you do, then cars like a G won't ever be an issue. Good luck.
