Default tuning?

Im new to the g's (havent got one yet, but soon will) and i just want to research a few things before buying.

One thing i would really like to do after any mods is to get a good tune on it so i can maximize power and reliablility.

what are the options to use for tuning the g35 coupe 6mt's? Can anyone give me links?

thanks

For a true tune, you will need a TurboXS UTEC, Greddy Emanage Ultimate, or HKS F-CON piggy back box on a dyno. Some people do an ECU reflash with what some programmer guesses will be the best tune, but a dyno tune will yield the best results.

I'm so out of it as a pure stock player.

I would only do the UpRev if yuned with a dyno. Otherwise, IMO, it's just another best guess reflash. But I will admit that it does hold some promise, but at the risk of frying your ECU. A buddy of mine is heavily into the UpRev upgrade.

I know of at least two NA cars that gained about a 20 hp increase in power, with a torque incease as well, and a nice curve, with dyno tuning of a UTEC.

any tuning would be done on a dyno, or on the street with a wideband installed. I am not going to go the guessing route when it comes to tuning, because it could in fact yeild you with worse results than before tuning.

GILLEY... Yea when tuning the car i agree w/ throwing it on the Dyno otherwise it really is pointless. What did you mean by frying your ECU? Is this the case w/ any ECU reflash or something you have heard about the Uprev?

I know someone well that had their ECU fried when uploading the UpRev. His car wouldn't run. He had to send it to UpRev to have them repair it and he could not drive his car for 3 days.

I don't know if this is common or how high the risk is, but it has happened at least once.
