I don't know about you but I know my clutch is fine and I don't want anyone to tear it apart.
JTG35.. thanks for your information. I will try to fix it myself. Ya i really dont want them take apart my trans & clutch. Last time they had fixed my driver seat due to the linkage noise.. and they broke one of the housing... they told me they have placed an order on the parts... its been a month already they havent call.... So i dont want them to touch my car only if its needed. thanks all!!

Exactly!

This has occurred in my G since last summer. The clutch would not come out and I'd actually have to flip it up. The clutch will engage, but it's just annoying. Typically it happens when the car gets really hot and under bad traffic conditions.

I'll try the recommended do it yourself clutch clean, and I hope it's that. The dealership hasn't helped at all.

Just make sure you pump the paddle 40 to 50 times per set. I did like 6 sets and finally see the clear fluid. It will work and good luck guys and keep me post guys.

Tried it... clutch travel is smooth again, and even clutch engagement feels smoother... amazing... my old fluid was pretty dark compared to the new DOT4 500-degree boiling point fluid I put it... now I'm just waiting on the upcoming heat wave in SoCal to see if the clutch will stick again... so far so good - will update...

If this works, I'm going to my dealer and sending a note to Corporate expressing a lack of confidence for the Infiniti service team... I mean, if they can't figure out a $10 fluid replacement fix...

I feel you SPice because when the clutch thing happened to me, I call my dealership and spoke to a Service Rep. I was so up set because he told me to bring it in and they going tear down my transmission to see if my clutch is wearing off. I said WTF!! I bought this car brand new and only have 18000 miles on it (at the time). How is my clutch wearing off so fast? He said "well you have to know this is a wear and tear item" I argued with him for awhile and I was like fuck this. I went on and did a search myself. So this is what I found, now everything is ok and I really can't trust the dealership anymore. Some stuff I can do it myself I just do it.

Exactly. I could say that out of my whole Infiniti experience, the service has been the least confidence-inspiring. Doesn't make me want to purchase another car from them. But so few service centers in SoCal Kearny Mesa, Escondido, National City? I don't even know.

infiniti dealers seem to be very incompetent at times, they seem to never want to take your word for it and look at something you tell them to look at. I went to have my brakes inspected by them cuz they were whining an they told me everything was goos, i drive home and the noise returns the next day..

Yeah...that's almost exactly why I'm going back to press them on my squealing brakes. When there's 60% of the pads left, you can't tell me that the only way to get rid of squealing is to regrind the (clean) rotors for over $200?!?

I have just changed my clutch fluid like 8 times. Two questions, you change the fluid with engine on or off? or it really doesnt matter. Secondly, do you guys's clutch reserve tank have a filter? cause my doesnt. should there be a "White filter" inside the clutch reserve tank? Now i need to find sometimes to drive it out and test it in a HOT weather w/ traffic. thanks all..

Insulated, braided stainless steel clutch lines are available for about $45. You might want to change out the line for a better one while you are replacing the fluid.
