Throughout my long wait to take delivery on my car this spring and summer, I would drive by a parked Desert Plat. 6MT every day on my way to work, always in the same spot on the same block. In fact, it was there most times of the day, and I looked forward to passing every morning and evening, as I yearned for my own to arrive. Over time I became very curious about the owner. Who was this person who never drove this beautiful machine? One day last month as I passed by, the owner emerged from their house and opened the driver's side door, got in and pulled away. It was a woman, and AT LEAST 65 YEARS OLD. That's not the image of the driver you get from reading the marketing brochure. In fact, I found the whole experience a little troubling, and somewhat emasculating. I noticed the other day that a knit Afghan blanket covered the back seat and deck. Now I'm really distressed. My commuting partner tells me I drive an "old lady car" now. He drives a Highlander though, so I don't listen him.
Girls love this car, its pure sex. Just got my G tinted, 30% all around. Now its a force to be reckoned with.
