Default First few mods you did to your G?

Hey everybody, new member here. I came from an Acura CL-S. JUNK! I've never had some many problems with a Honda, and that one was my last. 3 TRANSMISSIONS over the course of 6 years. Thank GAWWD for the extended warranty!

Needless to say, I'm glad to be in the Infiniti now!

I just picked up my G last week in Long Island, my choices were between the G and the evo IX, and the deal I got on my G was just too good to pass up. Plus I needed a little more luxury than the IX offered.

I got a Graphite Gray, 2004, 6SPEED, everything but the navi, for $26K. With tax and everything it came to about $27,450. 14,300 miles on the clock, ABSOLUTELY MINT>! it was a trade in from some old dude at a lexus dealership.

I'm ready to do a few light mods, and I wanted to know....what were the first few things you all did to your cars right after you got them?

Aesthetically, mechanically, etc.

thank God you chose the G over the evo... and good choice on color.

as far as your CL, that model and the TL and Accord have soooo many tranny problems. it's crazy.

anyways my car is stock so i've got nothin else to say.

Congrats on the buy! Defiinitely clear corners first, they look really good with the color you have. Then intake, plenum spacer or new plenum for light starters.

clear corners right away, wheel and tires if you want better looks, sways and strut tower braces if you prefer better handling, intake and exhaust if you want performance or just do all of it and have the perfect car!

Grab a Z-Tube anywhere for about $80 and a drop in filter, or if you want go with the pop charger. Then a Spacer.
For handling go with a strut bar and maybe some sways.
Maybe the clear corners too. I am considering some myself.

Just got same car, except black, with same exact options and almost same miles (12,300) for almost the same price ($25,800)

I would definitely get some aluminum pedals while your at it. They arent to expensive on ebay, and it gives the interior a little more sporty look.

Are your windows tinted at all? Cause a nice tint will look great.

it all depends on you and how much you wanna spend . . .

$$$$$$

search and you will find lots of responses. if i were you, i'd get a Z-tube + JWT pop charger (K&N) air filter. not necessarily for the HP gains, which is so minimal, but because it increases your MPG.

after that, it's all up to you. Good luck!
