All GORGEOUS cars, but the outcome is no surprise. The RB motors just have a MUCH better powerband. Even all done up an SR motor can't touch the RB powerband due to the extra cylinders and displacement.
I overheard them say those RB's were putting down ~600hp. While relatively easy for an RB and probably doable even on pump gas, an SR would need probably 30-35psi (fully built motor on race gas) to pull that off and also gain a few more revs to still keep a reasonable powerband.
I love seeing those cars, but it kills me that we never got them here. I would have LOVED to see a RWD/AWD SR20 make it over here on a production car but it's too late now. They're getting phased out by newer, more emissions friendly motors that just aren't nearly as strong
