Default cold air intake, cold air, jwt pooper etc.

tonight the weather in dc became nice and chilly at a 36 degree register on my G. i was hitting the highway and it seemed that 1st revved REALLY hard and quicker than usual. it got me thinking that maybe my motor is pulling timing bc of the pop charger and its inhalation of hot underhood engine air. does anyone think that the nismo CAI or full injen CAI is a better NA set up than the poop charger and z-tube? does anyone know where I could get a kit to extend my ztube and pop charger into the front bumper so i dont have to buy more bullshit and sorta "build" my own CAI?

the full injen cai is a hell of alot better because due to it being down near the ground, it sucks in colder air. I would not get one tho unless u plan to shorten it like me, cuz u dont wanna suck up water!

the intake temps between the Injen and the Pop Charger are slightly different, by degrees so its something that wont make a HUGE different, and basically u'd be dropping $250 for about an extra ponie or two, so IMO not worth it....

reason as to why u felt such a bigger change as so have i, cold air is much more dense then hot air, and when it enters the engine, it enteres with more density and force, and allows the engine to run better and hence faster.. same basic concept with turbo'ed cars, they're much faster at night just because of the colder air...

+1 my car has been revving real hard through 1st and 2nd since its been colder at night. You wont yield much of a difference between the popcharger and a CAI unless you get a long ram.

the local car shop told me u need to remove the bumper to install the CAI for the coupe. do u need to do that to shorten the intake?
