Dude,
Thank you! You saved me hours by not having to take my car to the dealer. I was locked out of the trunk of my G37 at my sons football practice. That meant he didn't have his pads and had to stand around, the coaches weren't happy. We didn't have our chairs or our cooler and it was 83 degrees, 75% humidity and no wind! I called my dealer from the practice field he said to try piushing the trunk release while trying to force the trunk up, all I got was bruised finger tips. I asked if there was any other solution, he had none. I then called Infiniti Raodside Assistance, what a joke, all they could do was tow my vehicle, wait a minute I can drive it around why do I need a tow?
So, when I got home I googled "G37 tunk problem" and hit this site with your solution. I was amazed to find the red loop under the back seat and that it just popped the back seat down. After pulling the folding chairs out the trunk then opened without a problem. So much for tech support at my dealer.
Thanks a million.
Dave
