Default price for adding spoiler spoiler to 04 coupe

taking my car into the dlr for the fuel pump recall on wednesday, thinking of adding a spoiler. what would a good price be?

edit considering adding the 06 spoiler, but not certain. might just go with the older one.

I don't know about the price. But I would get the older spoiler. I don't really like the 06 spoiler.

The dealership quoted me a price of more than $700. The OEM spoiler costs about $449 plus installation of another $300+. Luckily I have a friend that works at a body shop and he also does window tinting and detailing, anyways he got a 30% discount for the spoiler. I saved hundreds.
For anyone in southern California that is interested, I could probably hook you up with a good deal on the OEM spoiler.

I've always liked the Data System rear spoiler. If I was going to buy a spoiler, this would be it: http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=1255

I'm also partial to the new OEM spoiler than its predecessor, the one that looked like an ironing board, but that's just me. I'd still get the Data system spoiler. $420 not including shipping, taxes .... hmmm, I think I'll get sway bars instead.

OSKER, did your body shop get you an aftermarket or factory spoiler?

It was a factory spoiler direct from a local So-Cal Infiniti dealership. My friend gets a discount from them, so I paid about half of what the original quote was.
I know the spoiler was authentic because the installation instructions were left inside my trunk and I trust him because I have known him for many years. I used to work at the shop about 10 years ago and he has been working on my cars since then. He also details and does the window tint.

I live in So Cal and was wondering how much an OEM 06 Coupe spoiler would cost.. Is it painted too? Would your friend be willing to install it, if so, for how much? Thanks -Jason

Shouldn't take the dealer more than 30 minutes to install, one hour max if they are numbskulls. Fair price is $75 to $100 to install.

CHECK THIS GUY OUT

his first post and he's researching before opening threads! It's noobs like you that make this internet a better place.

FYI: I got a fiberglass spoiler from ebay for like $100, had someone install it and paint it for another 100. The fiberglass is strong, i had a 80 pound tree branch smash the trunk and the spoiler was fine however it's starting to warp, you can tell where the bolts are because those sections didn't warp.

Yeah, i was about to say, that 300 bucks usually means a 3 hours install time, no way does it take that long to install.
