Default Is this a good deal?? ($1,000 over Invoice)

Hey

Well I called all the dealers around me and noun had what i wanted (Diamond Graphite with Graphite interior and navgation, permium packer, and rear activer steering, and Aero Package). Then I talked to dealer ship near me (BOB MOORE INFINITI) and he told me he can get me what I want, but it dosent have the Aero package and that they can install themselves. He said that he can not do less than $1000 over invoice because he has to ship the car from coloardo to oklahoma. What you guys think?? (I tried to make him go lower but he wouldent do it). If you guys can give me some tips on how to bring him down another $500 that would be great .

Thanks

I think you can get what you want and still be at or under invoice.

First: you can always get the OEM spoiler later on. Or an aftermarket spoiler that looks better (Datasystems Type R Spoiler) for example.

Second: money talks and bullshit walks. The more you put down, the more you can negotiate.

Third: DO NOT be afraid to go outside your state to find the car that you want and go pick it up yourself.

I live in L.A. and called everywhere in Southern California (San Diego and Riverside included) looking for the EXACT G that I wanted. I found it in Elk Grove, CA. Where is Elk Grove? About 8 hours north of Los Angeles. Because I was going to put down a hefty down payment and because I told the dealer to NOT BULLSHIT ME and that I was going to fly up there purposely to buy the car, they came down on the price and I got it for $1,500 under sticker. That's not that sweet of a deal either, considering it was the color combination + manual transmission that made it so rare, but I waited and waited until I found what I wanted. Since he knew that I was flying up there, he met me at the airport with the car. I then drove the car from the Sacramento Airport to the Dealership and was out of there with no hassles within the hour. Most pleasant new car purchase ever.

I subsequently made one stop in Oakland and took a hell of a ride down Pacific Coast Highway for one hell of a ride.

This is America and you are the consumer - so get what you want. Good Luck!

I called 5 dealershipes:

Bob Moore Infiniti Edmund, OK (where i am getting it from, 15miles away)

Jackie Cooper Infiniti Tulsa, OK 100+miles Did not have what I wanted

Crest Infiniti TX 190+ miles away and Did not have what I wanted

Sewell Infiniti TX 190+ miles away and Did not have what I wanted

Grubbs Infiniti TX 190+ miles away and Did not have what I wanted

And the lowest the Texas dealers were willing to go was $750 or $1,000 over invoice and they did not have dimanod graphite.

Thanks

Hey Mahdi, I don't know if this helps you but I live in Colorado. What dealership are they getting the car from shipped from? We only have 3. Denver Infiniti, Peak Inf. and one kind of far away in Colorado Springs. Peak Infiniti is by far the better one to deal with in the Denver area. I've made a few friends down there so let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Remember, each dealership has a different invoice cost! They do not all pay the same costs for the ā€œGā€. Getting a random sampling like you did is this best method for finding out what the market is providing.

MahdiG35-

I bought my 06 last week and what the dealer told me was that for a dealer trade that far away, the dealer wanting the car has to pay the shipping. So if you can still get $1K over invoice I think you're getting a pretty good deal considering the dearer is paying at least a few hundred dollars to ship it. (That's what they told me anyway, I don't know if anyone else can confirm this)

BTW, I'm having the dealer install my aero package, also. It's not like the RAS which has to come from the factory...

Oh yeah, I agree with jayelleseven. I got my financing through my Credit Union so there was no BS financing games. I told the dealer how much I wanted to pay and told them I was ready to write a check right then and there. Money does talk...

Yeah, he told me same exact thing (because they have to pay for shipping, he can't go lower on the price). He said $37,250 + $1,000. Which is a little more, I just checked edmunds and the invoice is $36,973. Is his invoice supose to be same as what edmunds is??

I am going to call my bank and get pre-qulifyed before I head out there.

Thanks

Mahdi

all Infiniti dealerships buy their cars from Infiniti for a different price so their invoice wouldnt exactly be the same as Edmunds..dealerships are not apart of Infiniti they're just merely the people who just buy cars from infiniti slap on the infiniti emblem infront of their "store" and sell to the public

Edmunds do not account for advertising fees, that might be what the difference is.

who is the fleet manager?? where do i get his info from?

I went to the dealership today (the local one) and they said that I will have to wait 5 weeks for the Spoiler to come in. So I told them that I don't want that one they said they have another one in another state but that one would be a $1000 more because the extra frieght charge. I told them that I will not a penny extra for the shipping and just walked out. The dealer in Texas called me and told me that they will have a fully loaded one DG/G coming in 2 weeks and they will sell to me for $1000 over invoice. So I think I am going to wait for that one to come in and get that one. (I really don't want to pay 2 weeks but I don't want to pay extra $1000 either. And the one that is coming from texas is coming right out of the factory so it would be brand new and no miles on there (beside the miles the factory has put on there).

Thanks

Mahdi
