... ladies & gentlemen of 6mt.net, i have very bad news... remember how i put in my order on an 06 G35 way back in 1873??

Well guess what, the dealership called me very excitedly telling me my car had arrived... i dutifully setup a date to go pick it up & do all the other bullshit that comes along... when i looked over the vehicle summary & found out... much 2 my horror... THEY FORGOT TO ADD REAR ACTIVE STEER to my package!!

So i'm stuck waiting on another order w/ an estimated delivery date of 2 months after the GTR is released....SALT!!!

...that IS350 is looking rather yummy now!!

Hey man sorry to hear that but you should do what I did. Call around some dealerships and see if they have a car with all the packages that you want or if one is on the way coming or if they can get their hands on one from their network dealerships. You might not end up getting the color that you want but at least you can get a car u want sooner and most likely cheaper than what you've negotiated on the order.

Man that sucks, but if you raise enough hell maybe you can get some freebees out of this deal. Like oil changes or even an infiniti hat. Good luck and at least the wait will be worth it.

what dealership is this? well i know whoever did not have a pre-order for me the next batch of rear active steer G's will be in april for most of the country. i'd be gladly to help you out if you can.

Would you actually notice the rear active steer kick in??? If it was me, I ask for $1000k off and keep the car rather than wait another couple months.

But it is starting to pick up... i got this in my email yesterday...

... I have exciting news... I have done an extensive search all over, and there is only 1 car that is out there and as of now seems to be available. I have spoken to that dealership which is over 500 miles away and they have a possible deal working on it. By Monday, I should know if this car is really available. If it is, the next question is would you want to have it shipped up here prior to the holidays.

Sounds promising... maybe i won't have to wait til 2035 after all... will keep all of u posted.. wish me luck!!

Sorry to hear about your situation. Waiting for your car is perhaps one of the hardest things to do. If I were you, I would not "settle" for a car you do not want because you will just kick yourself in the ass for quite a while if you end up with your second color choice, or lack of active rear steering, or whateva.

If you feel your dealership is taking too long to get a car for you, just stop on by and say "Hey man....I think you're taking too long to get me a car and I'm getting tired of your bullshit" and see where that gets you.
