Default Replacement car

I'm kind of undecided on whethor or not to get rid of my G. I would only do it because I kind of need an AWD car since I'm in Boston all winter. I was thinking about the sedan AWD but IDk if I could do that. Personally I would rather get an 06 coupe but that would be useless

anyway, my quesiton is how many of you will get another G35 or are allready on your second G35 and do you think you made the right decision?

i love my g35 but i think for you its time for a change. you have an 03 so you probably have had it for close to 3 years now. if you can, buy something else. you can always go back to the g35 later on.

Why don't you just get a set of snow tires and rims for the winter months? Much cheaper than trading in your whip and getting a new one, and you'll get to stick with the car that you really want.

Well you had the car for a few years how did you get by during the winter? Did you ever get snow tires? Are you just sick of driving the car during the winter? I agree that you should just get some snow tires and keep your baby.

Default yeah...

I really do adore my car but will be selling it in 2.5 yrs. I want to upgrade, its only human nature to want something greater. Simply put: Its a fabulous whip but there's always something ahead of the game_

if there is nothing wrong with your G and you're only worried about the winter, get the snow shoes (don't sell it) snow tires WILL give you good grip

when i finish saving up for a house i will either mod the hell out of my G, or..........get something else fast (Viper, new ZO6, new M3, etc.)

I had my car for 1.6 years and I still love it. I'd really like to get the 06 G. Right now there is nothing out there that I'd rather get in the same price range. I'm really thinking about trading my 04 in for it.

If you're going to be living in Boston, parking in a campus area AND dealing with the New England winter, I'd suggest you get rid of your G for now.

Your car will take a phenominal beating with all 3 of those situations combined. Take a look at all the cars you see in Boston... most of them are all dented, scratched and dinged up from a combination of reckless drivers and minor traffic accidents, bump-n-run parking incidents, and all the salt and potholes.

I'm not sure where you go to school, but I usually liked having a somewhat crappy car to park on campus when I was in college(assuming your college actually has a campus and isn't one of those colleges that is just sorta nestled into the city amidst businesses and other stuff... like most Boston colleges are).

I think your car will take a big beating if subjected to the situations you are likely to put it through.... and it's also not the safest vehicle to drive around in the snow/ice... regardless of what tires you have. Try taking a G35 through the Ted Williams Tunnel in mid winter.... you'll be slipping and sliding everywhere. That tunnel is almost always solid ice, because it is under water and leaks.

I guess the only good thing about driving a G35 in Boston in the winter is that the city is not really that hilly, so you aren't as likely to get stuck going up a real big/steep hill and losing traction in snow(just the onramps to the expressway and maybe some of the smaller backroads in the North End).

I've lived near Boston for my entire life, and just bought myself a 4x4 Toyota Tacoma truck to make my winter life simpler and keep the G35 out of snow... if you can't afford a second vehicle then I'm not surprised that you'd consider selling the G.

partyman i agree. i'm a college student in southern california and i'm scared to drive my car to school every damn day. the weather here is great so i don't worry about that. its just the damn students at my school can't park their cars for shits. not to be sexist or anything, but its mostly the damn chicks. they're so reckless, even with they're BMW 5 series and Porsches. i can say this because my girlfriend drives like a typcial girl.
