Default New Member... Help Me Decide!!!

Hello Everyone,
This is my 1st post & I know I might be in the wrong Place.
But I noticed that there isn't that many replies on "Buying a G" & I need some advice ASAP since I am purchasing in the next few days.

Here is the info on the car that I am being offered & I am ready to buy, but since you guys have gone thru this already I wanted to know if this is a good deal compared to your experiences.

BRAND NEW
2005 G35 6MT
Diamond Graphite/Graphite Interior
Premium Package
Aero Package (Spoiler & Rear Diffusers)
Navigation
Splash Guards
Body Side Molding
Door Guards
Trunk Mat
Wheel Locks
Pinstripe (I would have them removed)

Here is a copy of the print out that I got from the Dealership.

Dealer List......$39,400
Mfg. Invoice Cost.......$35,996.00
Dealer Cost......$36,447.73

They are selling it to me at $36,547.00 (According to them it's only $100 more then what they paid for it)

Here are the fees...

Delivery Fee......$495.00
Electronic Filing.....$17.00
FL Law-Tire & Battery Fee....$6.50
Sales Tax.......$2222.91
Lemon Law.....$2.00
FL Title & License Fee....$211.00

TOTAL OUT THE DOOR... $39,501.41

I couldn't decide last night at the dealer because I wasn't looking to spend more then $36,500. I really don't need the Nav option & They don't have the car that I am looking for, they would have to order it from another dealer & obviosly they want to get rid of what they have in stock...

After sitting there for a while & going back & forth we brought it down to...

FINAL PRICE OUT THE DOOR.... $38,900.00

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE

Thanks Guys & sorry for the long post...

How many miles on the car?

If it's brand spankin new (under 10 miles) I'd say you have a pretty good deal.

Well it's a fair deal IMO. I got my car for $34,600 everything except for the Navi and tax was $1700 so total for me was $36,300. With the navi it would have been $38,300. So you can get the car for a few hundred less but I say that price is fairly resonable. I think you can get more because the '06 are coming out so try to use that as a leverage.

If you really don't want/need the Navi, just have them swap with the another dealer. This is done all of the time. When I got my G, the dealer that I was dealing with had to swap one og their G's with another dealer to get the one that I wanted. Don't settle for something that you don't want just because they want to get rid of it. If that's the case, just tell them that you are gonna go to another dealer that will give you the exact car that you want. Trust me, it is not a difficult thing for them to do. A good salesperson/dealer won't hesitate to make you happy. I definitely give Infiniti of Mission Viejo (in SoCal) props for going out of there way to make me happy!

I agree with Hexxx, despite it being a fair price (and it is a good price), if you dont' want that car with the options - DON'T BUY IT. I didn't want the navigation or the spoiler so I found the car that I wanted all the way in Northern Cali and flew there to pick it up.

A man has a right to buy the exact car that he wants once in his life. Don't be swindled or persuaded to buy something you don't need. Furthermore, the deal may get sweeter if you wait just a little longer.

I always recommend getting at least three telephone quotes and negotiating with a local dealer. You may stubble across a several hundred-dollar savings with very little effort.

Also remember the 05 is already considered nearly a year old when you drive it off the lot.

Default car price

I would also get a few quotes for the 2006 model. Remember, if you buy an 05 this week it will already be a year old and hold a lot less value than a 2006 that comes out in a month or so.

Same Options & you got it for $34,800? W/ THE NAV? ARE YOU SERIOUS

Coconut Creek was the 1st Dealer that I went to & they keep calling me, intially they didn't have the car that I wanted which is all the options that I mentioned before but with out the Nav.

They have an Ivory w/ the Wheat interior WITH OUT THE NAV OUT THE DOOR for $37,700 so that's seems kinda steep to me...

I also went to Henry Infiniti in Miami but I didn't like the attention & the process.

I was looking to buy the G35 with all the other options for $36,500 OUT THE DOOR

But that's why I need you guys to help, since I wouldn't hesitate to get it if I know it's a good deal.

I can't wait until the 06's come out since My Car was stolen recently and it was recovered as a Total Loss (Use to Have a 00 Civic Si with a lot of work done to it, no no ugly colors or nasty Fast n Furious Stickers) soon I won't have the rental so I will need my car soon. Plus I've done some research & there isn't that many things different with the 05's to the 06's for me to have to wait a month & 1/2.

SHIT WHAT DO I DO?

34,800 with nav out the door is rare.

I got mine for $35,500 and I know that's about average.

Whatever you do, you are buying a great car. If you need it now, then buy it now, but get what you really want.

That's a trip bro! I also used to have a 2000 Honda Civic Si before I got my G! Unfortunately mine got totalled in an accident. As much as I loved my Si, I love my G even more! Trust me you can't go wrong with a G, just make sure you get what you want. Below is a pic of my Si and my G. See any similarities?
