Uneven wear.
As many of you know I have uneven wear on my tires, like many others, and I was thinking about over inflating my tires to try to lessen the effect. My wear is mostly in the inner tire so I'm thinking over inflating my tires will start shifting the wear towards the center. My question is how will this affect my handling and stopping? Thanks.

Fuel economy should go up. Tires won't grab as well. So you'll lose some braking and handling.

Hmmmm you think 45 PSI would be enough to start the wear towards the center?

It is my understanding that once a wear pattern is established on the tire there is nothing you can do to change it...

45psi? Don't you think that might be a little bit too high?

i think you'd be fine w/ 40 or 42 psi tops.
what are you going to keep the rest of the tires at? 35?

Of course you can't redo the wear, but I was thinking I can over inflate a little and start wearing out the tire more towards the center since 35 psi seems to wear out the inner tire 1st. Also, I pumped air in to the tire today and went to 40psi. The tire itself said don't inflate more than 40psi. Well, I'll just see if this will less the wear on the inner tire.

All four tires will be 40 because all my tires are wearing out the inside.

PSI
If the tires say 40psi max, I would advise to stay below that. 38psi if you really want to, but I would try to reverse the tires so your current inside is on the outside. Good luck and be safe.

I run 40psi on the front, and 38psi on the rears, but I only have 5k miles on my G.

no, I have it backwards...38psi in the front and 40psi in the rear. Due to the engine weight, you don't need as much psi in the front.
