Default DEALERSHIP SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE

Hey guys,
Just out of curiosity how much do you guys pay for synthetic oil change at your dealership. My f_ing dealership (PARK AVE in Jersey) charges me $75 for a change I thought that was bogus...

I bring my oil for them to use if I let them change it. Saves a ton of money and you can get a case of it pretty cheap at Costco

wtf 75 bucks just to change ur oil ...did they also tell u had to check that and replace that... maybe that was the result of the 75 bucks but i would change my own oil or at least bring it to a local mechanic who you would know pretty well so he or she wont screw u over

Default syn oil change

$75 is way too much. Either change it yourself or buy oil/filter and take it to some local mechanic. Also, this way you KNOW syn is being used. Sometimes dealerships (I mean stealerships) charge you for a syn change, but put regular oil in and that could be bad for you car especially if you go 7500-10,000mi between changes.

You're getting royally screwed. I think that they charge ~$55 at my dealership and they are screwing me. I usually bring my own Mobile 1 and have them put it in. It's cheaper that way.

Doesn't sound right. I thought Nissan recommended dino oil only for the VQ (at least for the 03/04 coupes).

That being said the rate you are being quoted is pretty high.

I don't feel as bad now... I was charged $60 at my BMW dealership for my oil change on the G... and I KNOW they stick it to me in price! Everything is always marked up.. oil and filter, alike. Plus, even a 10 minute job at an $80/hr rate sucks!

i get my oil changed at the dealer for 39.01. i figure what they put in it is what should go in there, which i believe is a penzoil synthetic blend. besides, if you have your book stamped and something oil related goes wrong, you have that added insurance.

let me qualify this in saying i am fully capable of doing it myself, but i have no place to do it, and disposing of the old oil is a headache in san diego. the conveinence outways the cost saving in my situation.
