Default cruise control at 90 mph

today i was off to an autocross track in southern louisianna.....i was taking a desserted road to get there just to start warming up my car before i get to the track....so i reached about 140 and then started to let off as i saw some distant cars, i got down to 85 mph on the cruise control...i started to accelerate the control and then to my suprise it wouldnt go past 90 mph with the cruise control...i just thought it was a neat feature that it did, but do any of yall know how to change that??

haha i guess they would not expect you to be cruising above 90 mph... I suppose some ECU work will be needed. Talk to some of the guys at technosquare to see if thier reflash removes that.

Didn't know about that. I bet that's a safety feature -- don't want anyone to dose off at high speed... This kind of feature is definitely software controlled. I would bet that there's nothing you can do about it.

haha yeah bc dozing off at 110 would be disasterous but at 85 is no big deal

i'm sure a chip (reflash) could bypass this

On public roads? That's good headwork. Seriously dude, that was a really good plan.

Now that we're on the topic of ECU, who would you guys recommend to talk to as far as ECU mods go? Are there any ECU enhancements out there that are popular? Where can I find them? Thanks guys!

If you are going over 90 then you shouldn't be using cruise control anyways....cruise control is a lazy american feature.

damn, that sucks.

last year when we were caravan-ing to vegas in the supras i had the cc on at 110 for at least a half hour when we hit some open roads in the middle of the night. car was very smooth even at that speed....but that was nothing compared to some of the guys who were going at it and got up to 170...pretty crazy but a lot of fun
