Default GREAT NEWS EVERYBODY....

.. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance!

But I'm about to get ripped a new one when they find out that I got a ticket for going 104mph on the freeway . Anyone in Cali ever gotten caught going over a hundred? If so, what happend? Is it reckless driving? How much will this cost me? All I know is that its a mandatory court appearance in front of Judge Judy. The scary thing is... the officer caught me when I was slowing down from 120mph. And damn the Passport. It didnt work at all.

On a good note, I just installed my Ztube and K&N. Now my engine roars above 4k RPM. Nice!

i don't think he means the cost of the ticket alone.. i think he means the after effects.

Sorry to hear man

Radar detectors only work when they are using the radar. If you are the only one on the road, the radar gun is in standby mode, and while the detector will work, it will go off when you just got nailed Same for Lidar too. Speeding a little is easy to pull off in light or medium traffic when other cars are getting shot and you can catch the refract. Speeding excessivly is always a high risk though, and if you are the only one on the road in the middle of nowhere, a detector is useless.

Well lemme hit you with this. In my state and with my insurance, a ticket doesn't automatically go to your insurance. The insurance company checks approx 3% of thier clients. They look for high risk groups ie male drivers 18 to 23 and ppl with things like a DWI. So if your state and insurance company does what mine does and you are not in those groups then it may never show up. I know this is true because I got a racing on the highway ticket 18 months ago and it has never shown up. Anyway, my $.02.

Peace

In Philly, you can sometimes work out a plea in court where you just pay for the ticket and there won't be any points on your license. That way, I think it makes it harder for insurance company to find out.

But your best bet is to hire a traffic lawyer for $200-$300. One who will guarantee a win, or you don't have to pay him. Most of these lawyers have a relationship with some of the judges and will schedule you a court date where he/she knows the judge.

Nope, I just have this 1 lawyer in Philly, he went to court for me and my friends about 10 times and only lost once.

NJ has discovered this and is making profits from it. Now when you get a ticket and you go to court, you have the option of pleading guilty with a pardon. A $150 ticket will cost you about $450 but they put no points on your license. You knew it was going to happen.

Oh, and by the way, GEICO just came back to NJ and I DID save a bunch of money on my insurance by switching from AIG to GEICO!

Yeah. I think I might just have to get a lawyer. It was 3am when I got nailed and I was the only car on the road. Plus, the officer was a d!ck to me. This actually happend a while ago, but I just got my court date set yesterday for the Firday of Labor Day weekend. I must say though, ever since I got that ticket I've been obeying the laws like a good little boy.
