I think it might be the brakes. Brake calipers are only loaded to push in, not out. Try tapping your brakes lightly for a second, the next time you hear the noise. If it goes away, or changes it's pitch/volume... it's probably just the brake pads lightly rubbing.
Sometimes you get that noise if you were stopped, and you let your foot of the brake pedal in a slow and progressive fashion prior to the car beginning to move. The pad/caliper is probably just resting closer to the rotor than it normally would be. A quick tap on the brakes while moving should pop it back into a less compressed position so that it doesn't rub against the rotor anymore. It's probably nothing to worry about unless it's really loud or you feel your car fighting to accelerate or coast.
